As per your description in two words - it seems like there is a injury ?
If there is a injury, you should clean the wound and get sutured if it is deep.If the wound is superficial,apply Ointment containing Povidone iodine and close the dressing.
I prescribe an Oral Antibiotic like Amoxicillin,anti inflammatory tablet to my patients with similar complaints.
Nothing to worry.It will come down.
