Question : breast hurts
Brief Answer:
Pain and tenderness up to 7 - 10 days after an abortion is a normal finding
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to 'Ask a Doctor' service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
If you recently had done an abortion you may still have symptoms of pain, swelling and tenderness in breasts. It is normal to feel this pain within 7 to 10 after abortion.
You may need to use Acetaminophen for pain and apply some cold compresses.
Your period may come after 4 weeks, if not you should visit your Gynecologist.
You probably may be advised to do an ultrasound as soon as 2 weeks after the abortion.
Hope I have answered the question.
