Brief Answer:
No signs of cancer

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for posting the query

I have examined the image thoroughly and I am of the opinion that it is almost a normal throat. There is a mild swelling over the uvula and a couple of granulation over the soft palate and the pharyngeal wall. I don’t see any signs of cancer.

There is no need for the antibiotics; in fact, this can worsen your problems.

Also, there is no mention of your actual symptoms. It is difficult for me to conclude or to guide you appropriately without a proper history of your problems. If you could let us know what are your actual symptoms I can help you in a better way.

I would be waiting for your response.

Hi thank you for answering my query.

Symptoms are sore throat and drainage and cough about 5 weeks ago then white dots showed up on tonsils which went away after antibiotics but throat was still sore and draining then a bright red dot showed up in the back of my throat. The bright red dot is seen in the lower left part of the picture and ya been there 3 days now. Can Postnasal cause the bright red dot and burning?

Brief Answer:
Laryngopharyngeal reflux

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for writing back

I have understood your problem. In the image you have sent, there is absolutely no sign of any infection or cancer, except for the granulation.

Secondly, going by the symptoms, I am of the opinion that you could be having Laryngopharyngeal reflux secondary to the acid reflux from the stomach into the throat. This is a common feature following any stress/infection.

My suggestions to you are:
1. Drink frequent sips of warm water
2. Take a proton pump inhibitor such as Pantoprazole or Esomeprazole
3. Avoid hot or chilled food and beverages
4. Avoid coffee/fizzy drinks/smoking, if any
5. Avoid worrying about this problem

With the above measures you should get better.

Hope this answers your query. Revert back to me if you have follow-up queries.
