Question: Hi doctor, i am 24 years older male. I went to massage parlour and sucked csw nipple for few seconds on XXXXXXX 30th . I don’t know if she was latching. Then immediately washed my mouth and drink water . Do i had any exposure to hiv and what happen if some of breastmilk or blood went into mouth ? I have done 6 rapid test(microsidd 3rd generation rapid test kit) after 30 days, 70 days ( athenese Trustline 4th generation rapid test) , 104days , 118 days, 184 days and 185 days ( microsidd 3rd generation rapid test kit antibody test ) to the exposure . All are negative. But all these rapid test are bought from XXXXXXX . Can i trust this results. Then also went to sexologist in XXXXXXX ( dr dhinesh) and asked for premarital check. He asked about my sexual relationship. I told him about what was happened in massages parlour “”. He mentioned it is not significant risk if you are not involved in intercourse. He did some basic blood test which did not included with any std test. All came back normal. Then i came back to home . I seen lymphocytes is 30% . In the report lymphocytes normal range is 30-50. It was in border line. I feel like hairy/coated tongue in morning( for past 3month may be after noticing it) but after eating some hard food it clear but appear everyday morning. Is this related to hiv? Or am
I am overthinking whatever happened (like cold, white tongue, stomach acidity problem) in body is related to hiv after googling. Kindly help me doctor on this . What to do next?

Brief Answer:
You are free from both HIV 1 and 2

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
HIV Rapid card tests available in the market are reliable upto the extend of 97%. The fourth generation test (/Antigen+Antibody detection combo/DUO test) is reliable upto 99%. Even the two negative rapid tests with two different methods or marketed by two different companies 12 months after exposure is reliable upto the extent of more than 99%. So not to worry.

Last question: Have you ever come across a case where adults contracted HIV through contact with breast milk?
Hi sir,
I have been following your prolific contributions to the field of research, particularly in HIV, spanning four decades. Your wealth of experience is truly commendable.I wanted to talk about something that's been bothering me.

I am writing to express my concerns about the lack of comprehensive sex education in our current educational system. It has come to my attention that many individuals of our generation are not adequately informed about sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Prior to a recent incident, I held the misconception that HIV was a rare virus transmitted solely through blood transfusion or unprotected sexual intercourse involving blood contact.

This incident prompted me to delve into the intricacies of the human body, particularly the role of mucous membranes and how viruses can enter our systems. I have since learned about various STDs, the concept of the window period, and the crucial importance of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP). It perplexes me why such vital information was not included in my college curriculum, despite pursuing a Bachelor's in Computer Science.

It was only during my final year that I gained some insights into the adult world through candid conversations with friends. This brings me to the crucial question of where the ordinary younger generation can acquire such essential knowledge. I strongly believe there should be a compulsory course during college that covers these topics or, at the very least, a certification program that equips individuals with the necessary information before entering the workforce.

I know you've got a solid reputation in the field, and I'm thinking maybe you could use your influence to push for changes. Education shapes how we see the world, and it sucks to see people dealing with unnecessary fears because they didn't get the right info. Would appreciate your support in making things better.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
At the outset I wholeheartedly appreciate your interest in sexual Medicine and STIs. This issue was raised by many sexology associations, and STD organizations many a time. Not only you, even the medical students and post graduates are not being inforrmed. The importance of sex education from school level onwards is being stressed. There was lot of resistance from the point of our culture is being existed. I am personaly imparting knowledge to college students nearby once i year. It is long topic to be discussed. I was national President for STD association 3 years during Corona time. But I am living in small city in South Tamilnadu, neither a state capital city or National capital city. Time will answer your question. Because of these ignorance, sexual failures, broken marriages, divorces, sucides, HIV and Venerophobia ( because of accessing wrong information from google.
I had seen cases of HIV transmission in babies of HIV infeccted mothers. Some 10%of these cases possibly be got thrpugh breastmik after prolonged feeding.
Not seen or heard in adults about HIV transmission through breast milk.
