From the description of your symptoms,I can make it out as an upper respiratory tract infection (probably bacterial).
For such patients visiting my clinic,I prescribe antibiotics like amoxicillin-clavalunate 650 mg thrice a day,anti histaminics like loratadine or levocetrizine 5mg at night time and antipyretic paracetamol 500 mg s.o.s.
Steam inhalation,hot saline gargle and expectorants like benedryl help to liquify mucus and take it out.Have plentiful of oral fluids and water.
