Question : hi doctors my wife gets some mark on her legs usually(attached is the image) without any reason this marks looks like blood clot but she doesn't feel any pain in this . also this mark automatically goes off after some days. can you please tell us what exactly it is and some home remedy to avoid this and what could be the cause.
Brief Answer:
Ecchymotic patches, go for lab tests
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have gone through your complaints .
According to your complaints it seems to be ecchymotic patches.
They occur due to bleeding in the skin.
You need to rule out any bleeding disorder in your wife.
I would recommend you to get her complete blood count, bleeding time, clotting time and coagulation studies.
If these are normal there is nothing to worry about as they can occur without any cause in some individuals.
As far as home remedy is concerned give her diet rich in vitamin C like lemon, citrus foods and goose berries.
I hope to have answered your query and would be happy to answer any further queries.
Regards
