Brief Answer:
exercise should be performed under the proper supervision of a Physiotherapist.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service...

Well, neck pain can be due to a lot of reasons (starting from simple muscle sprain, spinal-joints related or even disc compression bony changes related)...In order to find the correct exercise, it's important to get yourself diagnosed at first (preferably by a Neurosurgeon/Spine surgeon)...

Based on the findings, appropriate management can be planned...

Now, as far as exercise is concerned, unsupervised exercise can do more harm than benefits. So always go for proper exercise regimen (there are several different regimens based on the actual findings starting from compression, stretching, core-strengthening, etc.) under the supervision of a physiotherapist...

Take Care
Kind Regards
