Question : experiencing prolonged allergic response lasting 2+ days after cleaning the house, allergy was not this prolonged or unmoving before. Congested nose and throat at times, constant sniffling

This happens. Sometimes allergies do stay for longer and symptoms are persistent.
Treatment is oral combination of montelukast (anti allergic) and antihistamine (levocetrizine or fexofenadine).
Along with this, do warm water gargles and steam inhalation 4-5 times a day.
Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these in 5-7 days.

My period is due in a few days. Is it possible that allergies get prolonged due to this?
