For Alopica Problem
Alopecia areata , oral and topical steroids
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to ask a doctor service
I have gone through your query and it seems to be alopecia areata.
It is a chronic autoimmune disorder disorder of the hair follicles characterized by patches of hair loss.
It can resolve spontaneously in some but in many patients oral and topical steroids is the treatment.
I would recommend you to take oral steroid take tablet methylprednisolone 16 mg after breakfast twice weekly and apply topical steroid like mometasone cream on the bald patches twice daily 3 for 3 weeks.
These are prescription medicines and should be taken under the supervision of the doctor.
This will help in resolving your problem.
Also get your thyroid function tests as sometimes derangement in these can cause hair loss.
