Well having significant free fluid in stomach is abnormal and needs to be tested.
Worthwhile getting following tests after consulting your gastroenterologist.
Liver function test kidney function test, cbcc.
Fluid should be tapped under medical supervision and sent for tests like routine examination, albumin, ADA, Cytology and culture to ascertain the cause of same.
Also stop alcohol if any and worthwhile getting an ecg or an echo if other symptoms like swelling of feet or and chest pain or breathlessness exists.
