Question : hI I HAVE DIZZIE SPELLS FOR THE LAST 5 DAYS. IT HAPPENS WHEN I TAKE MY MEDICINE IN THE AFTERNOON. THE SPELLS LAST FOR ABOUT 30 TO 4O MINUTES. I AM 76 YRS OLD. I TAKE XARELTO ALSO A POTASSIUM CHLORIDE AND A FUROSEMIDE ABOUT THE SAME TIME.

Possibly you are taking higher dosage of furosemide

Hello dear, welcome Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

Dizzy spells are a side effect of xarelto and of furosemide. I think most probably it comes from taking furosemide. Probably you are taking a higher dosage than you need.
I can suggest you to talk to your doctor to lower furosemide dosage.
Also take potassium chloride first then furosemide.
