Having Stomach Ache From Last 2 Days

Question: having stomach ache from last 2 days
Brief Answer:
Need details of your symptoms
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Stomach ache can be from many causes and its management is according to the cause.
Can you send me details like severity of pain, exact location, what is the feeling of your pain, is it radiating, what makes it better, what makes it worse, etc
This will help me in guiding you further.
If the pain is severe, then an ultrasound of the whole abdomen is needed under guidance of a surgeon.
Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

so the pain I not that severe. It is just below the ribs left hand side, feel pain for short duration of time 3-4 times in a day from last 2 days. It feel better when I sit ideally at that time without any movement.
Brief Answer:
It needs an evaluation by a surgeon
Detailed Answer:
Hi again
Since the pain is on left upper part of abdomen and it gets better by sitting still, it seems to be coming from enlargement of an inner organ like spleen. Although there can be other causes of left upper abdomen pain like gastritis, colitis, or maybe a lung problem. Since it started two days ago, I am not suspecting any problem with hemoglobin or blood.
It does not seem to be an emergency but it does require evaluation by a surgeon and an ultrasound abdomen.
Do you have any other symptoms like weakness, fever, chills, yellow urine, etc?
Do you have any blood test done?
How is your hemoglobin level?

Brief Answer:
Its suggesting some anemia
Detailed Answer:
Hi again
Your symptoms are suggestive of hemolytic anemia possibility. Or it could be other causes also. It does require detailed investigation. It should include blood tests including complete blood count including platelet count, serum iron levels, malaria test, kidney function test, liver function test, serum B12 and folate levels. Also chest X-Ray PA view. Also Complete urinalysis.
Your symptoms need further testing to come to a diagnosis. Then a specific treatment protocol can be started. Meanwhile I will suggest that you discontinue any medicines or supplements (if you are taking). Also drink cleaner water (with low ppm).
