                                            Pain could be neuralgic too.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
I am Dr Sudhir Kumar, Neurologist, and would try my best to help you.
I have noted your detailed symptoms. Based on that, GERD seems to be the main reason for your symptoms.
In addition, we should also explore a neuralgic pain. Sometimes, the nerves arising from spine may get pinched, and it can lead to pain over chest or abdomen. However, we arrive at this diagnosis after a detailed gastroenterology and pulmonology evaluations have been done to exclude primary problems in lungs or abdomen.
An MRI of spine can help in evaluating the area of interest to see the severity and extent of nerve pinching, if any. In terms of medications, pregabalin capsules can help.
I sincerely hope my reply has helped you.
I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.
Best wishes,
Dr Sudhir Kumar MD (Internal Medicine), DM (Neurology) XXXXXXX Consultant Neurologist

Yes, it can be muscular in nature. Muscle spasm and stiffness can give rise to pain over chest wall and abdomen.
Clinical examination can help in ascertaining this. A trial of muscle relaxants may be given to see if it benefits.

Mild nerve pinching can be reversed.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.
Mild nerve pinching can be reversed with exercises and physiotherapy. Only severe cases become chronic and remain symptomatic for a long time. However, based on your symptoms, it does not seem to be a case of severe nerve pinching, even if it were nerve pinching.
Good to know that your CT abdomen was normal.
