Question : hello doctor

My son is just 20 months he has early childhood carries , we visted couple of dentist in XXXXXXX but couldnt get any treatment done now his gums are bleeding and has puss formation could you please sugest the best treatment considering his age is 20months or suggest how to fix the problem as dentists are reluctant has he is baby and would not co-operate

This is Dr. Priyanka tiwari answering your query .

I have read your query and gone through the image you have attached. As far as i have observed in picture teeth are carious only root stump are remaining.

For this i will suggest you to consult pedodontist for opg xray and go for clinical diagnosis and restorative treatment based on radiographic evaluation.

In meantime i will suggest you to clean his teeth after meal. Don't add sweetner in milk .Use towel to clean his teeth at night time. Use ointment like Gum paint on gum local application for healthy gums . Use flouride containing toothpaste to brush his teeth .

Go for extraction of teeth which has pus formation and restore teeth that are carious after consulting pedodontist.
