Brief Answer:
Need evaluation depending on severity...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It's common to experience weakness after radiotherapy. Good nutrition and adequate rest is essential. Therefore I would not be overly worried if the weakness is usual. But if weakness is significant, talk to his doctor to check if there are any other reasons for it.
I would also suggest to discuss if there are fissures in anus that is causing pain while passing stools. If it is present, you may use topical agents like pilex / smuth cream around the anus. Warm sitz bath will also be helpful in that case.
Continue the smuth L syrup as and when needed.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.

Brief Answer:
It may or may not be normal...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
There are few symptoms that are noticed post radiotherapy. Loss of appetite is also one among them. However without a physical check up it's difficult on my part to know if the complaints are part of expected symptoms or something unusual. Therefore I will recommend you discuss with the treating doctor.
You should talk to him and encourage him to take healthy diet as deemed appropriate. Encourage him to include fresh fruits and vegetables. It helps improve appetite and feeding habits. Iron supplements if necessary may be started to improve anemia as well as increase hunger.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.
