This is Namarata from XXXXXXX UK . As you might be well aware that the cases over here are rapidly increasing because of the new Covid variant and we are all under lockdown . My question is
1) will Kabasurakudineer work against this new Covid variant if so how much of protection it will give
2) please advise on the consumption amount also

Thanks for contacting with your health concern and after reviewing your health query I'm of the following opinion:
A. Kabasura kudineer is a Siddha medicine where:
- kaba means kapha dosha having primarily dilection towards respiratory system ( pranvaha srotas)
- Asura means herb/herbs which helps in reliving the symptoms/ complains of Kapha pathology.
- Kudineer means concotion.
PS. Kabasura kudineer means the medicine which helps in alleviating the symptoms associated with respiratory (kapha seat) such as dry/wet cough, and treating flu.
PS. Several studies have suggested that because of its anti viral and anti bacterial properties it also helps in reducing swelling in the respiratory passages and treat infectious conditions like cough, cold and fever: reason of gaining popularity at the times of COVID PANDEMIC.
PS. The Government has made it clear that it is not a medicine to treat COVID but rather helps in managing the symptoms related to COVID by raising the Immunity of the person.
B. DOSAGE:
- As this is mainly in powdered ( churan) form thus it is consumed in liquid form: 25-50 ml ( after food) and make sure to take an expert Ayurveda/Siddha Physician before starting with the same.
