Brief Answer:
different treatment options

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

There are a number of different agents that can be used to treat dandruff

(1) Salicylic acid 1.8 to 3%- salicylic acid is available in the form of shampoo or foam. It works by increasing the hydration of the scalp. This causes the upper layer to shed and this removes the scales of dandruff
You can look for a shampoo or foam that contains this ingredient

(2) Selenium sulfide 1% - It is highly active and it stops the growth of the organism that may be involved in causing dandruff.
There is also another form of it (0.6% micronized), that is safe and effective

Again this is present in dandruff shampoos

(3)Zinc pyrithlone- this is present in dandruff shampoos in a 0.3% to 2% strength

(4)sulfur 2% to 5%-- available in shampoo. Sometimes combined with salicylic acid.
The combination product is also a shampoo

(5)Ketoconazole shampoo- to be used every 3 to 4 days for up to 8 weeks if necessary, then as needed

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
