Degeneration of L5-S1 disc consistent with low back pain.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to "Ask a Doctor " service.
I have read your query and here is my advice.
The MRI report compiled by the Radiologist and the MRI slice (only one is not sufficient ), show that there is degenerative disc disease at the L5-S1 level.
According to the report, there is no nerves or spinal cord compression, so, those findings may justify low back pain but not sciatica.
I think surgery seems not necessary in your case, conservative treatment with NSAID, physical therapy, spinal injections, etc. should be effective.
It is important also to consider infection as the cause of this disc degeneration ( discitis for example ).
Blood tests for infection are necessary besides MRI in such a scenario.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

The additional MRI slices confirm the degeneration.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.
I examined the additional MRI slices that you uploaded.
My opinion, basically remains the same, there is degeneration of the L5-S1 disc, a small protrusion of this disc.
Again, I think, an infection of the disc should be considered.
Hope this helps.
Feel free to discuss with me if you have further questions.
