Question : hello my husband has had this im his ear since November . he feels itchy and there is always clear doscharge from it and it seems to never heal.

Based on the appearance and the location I suspect it to be due to fungal infection.

Apply DK gel which is an antifungal gel twice daily .

Avoid scratching as it can make the infection worse.
