Question: hi doc, my daughter will be 3months old next week.. recently she has started behaving very fussy during the feed..she cries and unlatches and the latches again and this goes on for hours untill i am fedup..she will demand feed again in just an hr or half as she s not full.... i tried changing the position but it doesn't help.. she was on formula and breast milk for 2 months and then gradually we stopped bottle as she seemed to b satisfied with the latter alone..but from 2-3 days i have noticed this behaviour and this happens mostly during day time..she has not been keen sleeper in daytime since begining but she sleeps well during the night... could you let me know how to pacify her and let have effective feeding.

Brief Answer:
Will take time

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
This is exactly what happens when babies are given a bottle early. Nipple confusion. Is the Name.
Baby has to suck actively with effort while breastfeeding. But when you give a bottle, no effort is required by the baby. Milk just flows out. When you come back to breastfeeding from bottle feeding, the baby doesn't realize it is breast, the baby will think as bottle and will not suck well-expecting milk to flow automatically.
My advice
1. It is very good that you have stopped the bottle. Baby will take time to adjust and put an effort in suckling. Do not restart bottle even once.
2. Try expressing few drops of breastmilk on to the surface of nipped and Arreola. and then try putting the baby to breast. This will promote latching.

also, many times during the daytime she sleeps within 5min of feed and she gets up after 5min n demands feed again and the same cycle goes on. I have tried various simulations like tickling her foor, rubbing ears but she doesn't budge. Is there any suggestion you can give for this.

Brief Answer:
Empty one side

Detailed Answer:
Empty one side breast before shifting to the other side. This will ensure that the baby gets hindmilk which is rich in fat to satisfy hunger.
If you are already doing so, no need to worry.
If the baby demands, you have to feed her
