Question: hi doctor my maid 21 years of age is shivering and has 102 fever. we have given her crocin but still fever not getting down. any suggestion?? she was not able to sleep yesterday night.

I have gone through the details. I need more details. Does she have a cold, cough, loose stools, vomiting or urine infection?

It looks like viral fever and will subside within 3 days. She can take Tab. Dolo 650 mg maximum 4 times a day. If the temperature is above 102 F then she can take Tab. Ibugesic 400 mg. If it persists then a blood test and culture will have to be done to start on an antibiotic.

Giver her lots of fluids to drink, and a soft diet.
