Question : hi doctor my mother has started complaining of numbness in her head and ears suddenly. we are not sure of whats happening. please suggest. could this be because of blood pressure?? thanks XXXXXXX

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Yes high BP can cause stroke and even transient ischemic attacks. So it is the first thing to be evaluated. If its raised then appropriate medicines should be taken to bring it down. It could just be vertigo. Kindly let me know her medical history and any other symptoms.

If its not BP, then other tests for brain scan can be done.
