Question : Hi Dr, I have been suffering from Urticaria since a month. Tried allopathic medicine since a month but not cured. so just started today some recommended medicines of ayurveda from a local ayurveda XXXXXXX chikatsalya Dr. Please let me know if the prescribed medicine won't cause any side effect and good for treating urticaria. or should I take any precaution. I tested today n got IgE as 635. worried now should I stick to allopathic or continue with ayurveda prescribed medicine or continue both.

Hello,
It can only be suppressed.
If you continue to take ayurvedic medication lifelong, then it will remain suppressed.
And same with allopathic medication.
But you should not take both.
And you can take either allopathic or ayurvedic, no issue.
But i would recommend you to take allopathic, because if your ayurvedic medication contains heavy metals, then it would affect your liver and kidney.
So make sure from your ayurvedic doctor, that ayurvedic medication does not contain heavy metals.

It would be better to ask your ayurvedic doctor whether these ayurvedic medicine contain heavy metals or not. Because only they know about content of these ayurvedic medicine.
Being an allopathic doctor,I donot have information about ayurvedic medicine.
but yes i can say , that no medicine is completely safe , every medicine has some side effects, be it allopathic or ayurvedic.
and it is better to tale allopathic medicine, because atlease there is defined side effect profile of allopathic medicine.
