Question: Hi, I have a slight mass or masses in my scrotum unattached to my testicles. They seem to move around and are more pronounced when my scrotum hangs lower. They aren't painful and are soft. What could this be? I'm 26. The two images are a few weeks apart. The first (the most recent) is laying down, the second is standing.
Brief Answer:
Do an ultrasound.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
I can see only one picture in the reports and there is a mass clearly seen in scrotum.
I think it can be related to varicocele an enlarged vein or hydrocele a water sack near the testicle.
I think you need an ultrasound of the testicles to check it what it really is.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further

Okay, thank you. Did the picture you see have a circle identifying the mass? I can't see which photo was sent on my end. I'll try to send both again. Could trauma to the area cause this?
Brief Answer:
Seems like varicocele
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear thank you for asking again.
Now I can see the picture with a red cycle while before it was only one picture.
If it is smaller when you lay down and increases in size if you stand up it most probably can be related to varicocele.
Anyway an ultrasound may be needed.
Trauma can't be a reason for it.
