Question: hi

i was involved in risk relationship (hiv) since 5 weeks and just did the compo test and was negative while the other test for RF was high

is there any link between the two test

is it possibole to have HIV where the test is still negative

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It is a good news that you have negative result of HIV test.
You should know that combo HIV test is a 4 generation HIV test and is very accurate. There is no link between combo test and RF test.
Some studies in immunological factors, including RF say that they may influence the screening of HIV by ECLIA, producing false-positive result ( but not negative).

I suggest to do a combo HIV test after 3 months from exposure as a conclusive test.
