Brief Answer:
short term use will not affect platelets
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Short term use of NSAIDs does not affect platelet count. Any change in platelet activity is seen after using the NSAIDs like aspirin for more than 2-3 weeks. I hope there is no history of thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) in which there can be a sudden decrease in platelet count. TTP will accompany other symptoms also.
Since aceclofenac is a strong pain killer and is given in bad muscle pains, its advisable that we may give him a tablet of Combiflam and see if he feels better. Otherwise Acecloliv-P may be continued.
Hope it helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
