Brief Answer:
Explanation, some feedback needed

Detailed Answer:
Hi there
I welcome you to Ask A Doctor service.
I have understood your concern and I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

USG report shows that ovaries are enlarged due to small fluid filled sac like structures about 5 to 9 mm on its surface. This condition is commonly known as polycystic ovaries.

I would like to know about few things in detail.
What was the indication of the USG?
Does she have any gynecologic complaints?
Are her periods regular?

Please feel free to communicate with me again.
Thanks.

Bicornuate uterus " what is the meaning of this sentence sir..
Let me know the problems
Can u brief me about that sentence sir
doctor
Answered by Dr. Purushottam Neurgaonkar (19 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Bicornuate means 2 horns. Congenital anomaly.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
Let me try to explain your question.
Bicornuate uterus means there are 2 parts of the uterus instead of one normal womb.
It can be with or without double cervical opening.
Meaning this is a congenital anomaly.
It will need to be examined carefully by a gynecologist and detailed laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy will be needed to confirm the same.

It's not uncommon but will need close attention, if the patient is trying to get pregnant.

Please feel free to communicate with me again.
Thanks.

Hi there

Thanks for appreciating the answer and reverting back to me.

I will suggest you to get a good gynecologic examination done followed by laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy from expert Gynecologist.
The doctor will advise you further course depending on the findings of the procedure.

Please get your semen analysis done to know about the quantity and quality of the sperms.

She can start with Folic acid and vitamin B 12 supplements on regular basis.
I will suggest you both to opt for a healthy diet and regular exercise regime.
Avoid refined sugar and bakery products and deep fried foods in the daily diet.
Include more portions of fruits and vegetables and salads in the diet.

I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks.
