Hi, So Im A Dancer And I Recently Had A

Stress inflammation of ankle joint.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query, I understand your concern.
In order to give rest to operated hip joint , The ankle has been stressed...
This caused inflammation of the ankle joint&pain on movement...The inflammation in turn seems to have pressure on the periferal nerves around ankle...causing irritation of the nerve fibers with excess pain with pins & needle like feeling there.
Its normal to have such symptoms after surgery to some extent but it's exaggarated in you.It would have been better if you used support like a cane instead putting weight on the joint.
Any way...it can be treated & managed well with care&medicines with expert advice.
* You should give rest to the joint till pain& swelling is gone. Can use a walker for daily activities.
Anti-inflammatory pain medications can help relieve your symptoms, along with other medications to aid the healing process. Once the pain is managed, physiotherapy will assist you in resuming your dance performance.
The specific combination of drugs and their dosages will depend on your health and the severity of your condition. In this case, it's best to consult your surgeon for expert advice after a physical examination and any necessary investigations.
I hope that helps.Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks.

Thank you

Hi XXXXXXX Galitskly,
Thanks for the follow up query.
Actually it's not proper to advise medication without actual examination of patient...That's why I feel we are not supposed to prescribe on this site.
Still ,if I am to suggest...Tab.Brufen 400mg twice a day after food&ointment Pirox gel over the counter can be applied gently on the painful part. This would give you some relief to start with.
But I still insist to get expert advise from your operating surgeon..for best results&specially to retain your dancing
I hope that helps you.Any other follow up query is welcome.
Thanks

Yes..any one would help.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX Galitskly,
Thanks for the follow up query.
Both the creams you mention (Volteren &Pennsaid)are nonsteroidal anti inflammatory drug for local application ..like the one I had suggested.(Pirox gel)
Any one of these three would help for temporary pain relief....
For pain following weight-bearing stress after hip surgery, it's essential to consult an orthopedic surgeon for a thorough evaluation and necessary investigations. This will help identify any damage and rule out other possibilities, leading to targeted treatment and long-term benefits.
Hope that helps. Any follow up query is still welcome.
Wishing you earliest recovery.,
Thanks.
