Question : hi there, i have a cyst or some kind of lump just insude the opening of my vagina that pops out if legs are open. I found if incidentally as asymptomatic so no idea how long ive had it for. It%E2%80%99s very soft and squishy and moveable and is on top of skin rather than underneath the skin. picture below. what could this be?

It usually remains asymptomatic.
It can become painful in case it gets infected.
I recommend to use anti inflammatory medication such as Acetaminophen three times a day in case of pain.
I also recommend to soaking in a tub filled with a few inches of warm water.
If it does not go away you may need surgery to drain a cyst.
In this case I suggest to consult a gynecologist for further evaluation.

Bartholin gland cysts are located in near the vagina in both sides.
Usually they are asymptomatic and not dangerous. If you notice a hard (like a stone) fixed mass then you need to worry and consult your gynecologist.
They can however get infected, then they become painful and infection can spread, so needs to be managed appropriately.
