Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service.
Thanks for posting your query.
Earliest symptoms in the presence of HIV infection are fever, headache, body pain, faint skin rashes, etc. This stage is called as Primary infection or Acute infection or seroconversion illness. Only 50-70% would experience such symptoms. Very difficult to diagnose HIV infection at this stage as it mimicking a flu-like fever and the non-reactive serological tests.
Then the patient remains symptom-free for years (7-10 years or more) and looks healthy.
Subsequently, symptoms start appearing from mild to moderate and severe as the immune deficiency goes worst.
Loss of weight, intermittent fever, skin disturbances, oral thrush, Viral infections, Recurrent diarrhea, Tuberculosis, more severe diseases, etc.
