How Can Dry Skin Between Thighs Be Treated?

Question: Hi Doc,
I am male with dark chocolate complexion and I have been having dry skin between my thighs. This started during the summer and was white and really dry. This dry skin condition has only occurred between my thighs and only got itchy at night when it became hot during the summer months. No other rashes anywhere on other parts. At its worst, it was white and dry with the centre darker.
I started to use Vaseline moisturiser and this has helped a lot with the dryness. And this only shows up once I have my bath and don't apply any moisturiser. Is this normal and do I need to do any other thing?

Itchy and white skin between thigh might be due to dryness of skin or fungal infection for which as per your experience continue applying vaselline and it will give you relief. Many thanks for your feedback. I am really relived as I was unsure what it was an I started looking into things like HIV after watching a medical show! but it looked nothing like what was on tv as they had almost like an inflamed rash and it was not local to just one area.

The Vaseline helps as it is non greasy so it just sooths the skin.
