First, wound should be thoroughly cleaned with destilled water and then with antiseptic. Second, if there is bleeding, compression bandage should be applied. Third, if there is suspicioun of left wood in there, it should be removed. If it sticks out, then you can do it alone, but if this is buried, then you need to consult surgeon. Also, tetanus vaccination may be required and antibiotics if wound is deep. Wish you good health. Regards
