Brief Answer:
Hydralazine can be related to drug induced lupus, explained below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I understand your concern.

Hydralazine is a medication used to treat high blood pressure.

It is selective for small arteries and decrease the blood pressure.

Some common side effects of this medication can be headache, anorexia, nausea, vomiting and also weight loss.

As per your questions, this medication can be related to drug induced lupus erythematosis (DILE).

DILE and SLE are practically the same diagnosis caused by different factors.

DILE is lupus induced by drugs.

If DILE develops during the use of hydralazine you can also have joint pain and kidney damage.

I can recommend you to do a regular urinalysis to check for the presence of proteins and red blood cells in urine.

You can also see your doctor and consider taking another medication for high blood pressure.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further

Hi,

no disrespect but I already knew all this information that you told me from google. I was looking for in-depth information. This was a waste of 25 dollars because your not even being super specific.

What I freaking wanted to know was if

DILE IS PERMANENT
DILE CAUSES THE SAME SYMPTOMS AS SLE
IF DILE CAUSES KIDNEY ISSUES OR FAILURE

CAN YOU PLEASE BE SPECIFIC OR I WANT A REFUND. I did ask for a fully explained answer.

Brief Answer:
DILE is a permanent condition depending on the use of hydralazine.

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,

DILE is a drug induced medical condition.

This diagnosis is usually temporary and related to the drug use.

It also depends on the amount of time that you have used hydralazine.

If you used this drug as long as to cause kidney failure, which means over 10 years you may expect kidney dysfunction or failure.

Kidney failure is a permanent condition.
This is why I suggested above regular urinalysis to check kidney function.

Another option is to consult your doctor about alternative medication of hydralazine with less side effects.

If you have further queries feel free to ask again.

Brief Answer:
Levothyroxine will help you to go back to the same weight you was before.

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,

Hypothyroidism and decreased thyroid function relates to weight gain.

So, when you start taking Levothyroxine and the thyroid hormone level get back to normal again of course you will go back to your normal weight.

Hydralazine also cause weight loss as a side effect.

I recommend eating a healthy diet to boost your weight loos.

Hope it helps.

Take care,
