Question : i am obese and my belly hangs over quite a bit. i just noticed this rash. it does not bother me. what is it?

I can see red, scaly patches which are likely due to fungal infection. Sweat, humidity and higher temperature of body folds facilitate growth of fungus and may lead to these kind of patches. I suggest you to try an OTC topical antifungal e.g ketoconazole 2% cream, twice daily. In addition to that you may take an oral antihistamine e.g cetrizine 10mg tablet for symptomatic relief from itch.
