Brief Answer:
There is inflammation of bursa.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
I have seen the attached images. The provided images show a small amount of fluid collection and thickening of the subscapular bursa that suggests an inflammation in the area. These are only few out a long series of images.
Such inflammatory changes usually subside with regular anti inflammatory pain killers and a strong physiotherapy regime to maintain the mobility of the shoulder joint. In case the pain is persistent then you can get oral muscle relaxants prescribed from your orthopedician for relief.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.

so i have had two cordizone injections, physical therapy, multiple anti inflammitory medications, ice and heat, rest, and have been on muscle relaxers for months now. this started in december and i am now told i need surgery. how bad is the inflammation? do you have any idea why nonsurgical things arent making it go away of there is only a small amount?

Brief Answer:
It is a chronic inflammation.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
You have a mild inflammation and usually it responds to the conservative treatment but adequate rest is needed for proper healing. Now that it has become a chronic long standing problem then surgical treatment can be considered.
Hope my answer is helpful.
