Question : i get acne pimple on hair line. i was my hair regularly with a mild shampoo. no dandruff issue.
i have been suffering from hair fall too

Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have gone through your query and noted your concern.

I suggest in my practice to take Doxycycline 100mg, twice daily for 4-6 weeks. Avoid hair oil. Wash scalp daily with a 5% cetrimide based shampoo. Cetrimide is antibacterial, antiseptic. It would help resolve scalp infection. These are prescription products. Therefore i advice you to take them under prescription and guidance of your local doctor.

Hi.
A lot of OTC products like dettol and savlon contain cetrimide as antiseptic but of course you can't use them as shampoo. Cetrimide is degreasing, antiseptic and antibacterial. You may try Cetrilak mild (5%) solution. Can be used as a shampoo. It is a prescription product. Can't be procured OTC.
