Question : i had a laminectomy then developed shingles. pain will not decrease even with meds. have a history of blood clots. calf is discolorod am afraid of dvt should i go to er?ci

I have gone through your query and you need to take a course of antiviral medicines.
I would recommend you to take tablet valciclovir 1 gram thrice daily for 7-10 days.
For pain take tablet tramadol 50 mg twice daily.
These medicines will hasten the resolution of lesions and avoid complications.
These are prescription drugs and I would recommend you to consult an ER for this.
