Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice
Using laser depilation is a good choice to remove hair follicles and so you will get rid of folliculitis. Since laser needs some time to give results you can use some remedies.
Wash the are with warm water and let it dry well.
Avoid as much as possible tight wear.
Use an ointment with antibiotic and corticosteroid cream such bethametazon and gentamicine to reduce inflammation and fight infection.
Stop shaving and exfoliating.

Brief Answer:
Don't exfoliate every day.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again dear.
You can use the ointment three times a day. Don't use whitening ointments because the chemicals can irritate it more. Wait until it gets cured before using whitening ointments.
Absolutely don't exfoliate it every day.
It doesn't let the new cells to grow and doesn't let skin to regenerate itself.
You can exfoliate it once a week and gently.
Wishing you will get well soon.

How often should I use the ointments?
I only wear tight clothes when riding and the area is also darkening from the friction, im scared of using any whitening ointments that would make my skin sensitive and get more irritated from the constant friction daily
Is it okay to exfoliate the area gently everyday?
