Question : i have non-raised, non-itchy red dots all over my arms and legs for more than 10 years. they look like red freckles. what are they from? im just curious. i have had blood work and i have normal platelets and hbg/hct.

Yes, they are freckles and they form due to chronic/ cumulative sun exposure over the years leading to increased melanin production. They are more common in fair skinned individuals. Though, freckles are themselves benign, they are a predictor of increased risk of skin cancers like squamous cell carcinoma and basal cell carcinoma.

the red dots are also on my breasts and stomach. places i dont expose to the sun. is there anything else they could be? are you sure they are freckles?

Another possibility is that they could be cherry angioma which are of vascular origin and present diffusely throughout the body. They can be flat or slightly raised. I suggest if you can upload a few high resolution images or perhaps consider a skin biopsy for a definitive diagnosis.
