Brief Answer:
Question
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,
Can you please tell me what a "Jackson area" is? I am not familiar with this term.
Is there any redness or increased heat around the bump?
Also, can you please upload a few digital pictures as it will help for me to see the size, color, etc. If you can take a few pictures - one up close and one farther away, perhaps with a finger next to it so that I can get an idea of size, that would be helpful. There is an "upload reports" tab you can use for this purpose.
Likely what you are describing is a soft tissue infection, but a picture will help me advise.

Its around the hair line at the side of my face and in front of my ear , no redness, it's not too soft
Brief Answer:
Thoughts on this
Detailed Answer:
It would be best if I can see a picture.
If it is small, it may be an infected hair follicle or sebaceous gland. Putting hot compresses on it several times a day may take care of that. Heat brings increased circulation and with it, white blood cells will help clear up an infection. Heat can also help soften trapped oil and infection.
If it gets worse or larger, then do go in to have it looked at.
