Question : i think i have secondary hypertension as it's onset was very sudden (I am 65), my bp is very high 185/90, doc keeps upping bp med (beso something) but this has had no lowering, just has given me bad edema in the ankles, no historyof hypertension. This has just been since oct 2017 when i became very ill, anemia requiring 2 transfusions, lost over 50 pounds in 2 months despite having tremendous appetite and eating much more than normal. no diagnosis despite labs , procedures, test after test--no bleeding, no cancer, no infections, nothing. high neutrophils remain very high a year later (89 manual). now doctgors afre accusing me of a eatring disorder, and i feel like if they write thw weight l;oss ocff to that they will be missing the real cause. What is your take on all this?l

                                    Brief Answer:
Could have renal parenchymal disease or Cushing's syndrome
Detailed Answer:
Hi
After hearing your history you could have renal parenchymal disease or Cushing's syndrome
Would advise you to do CT scan abdomen and urine and blood test to see hormone cortisol level in your blood and urine.
In cushing's syndrome it is high
