Question : i was diagnosed with diverticulitis, without catscan. i took antibiotics for 10 days and felt better after 3 days.
Four days after taking the last antibiotic, symptoms re-appeared. His time catscan did not show diverticulitis, but doctor gave me 7 days of antibiotics due to symptoms. Symptoms improved when at rest, but worsened with activity. Last antibiotic was taken five days ago. Now, new symptoms in my lower abdomen have developed. I am 65 years old but have a burning pain where my ovaries used to be and lower in my pelvic area; intermittent diarrhea; sharp pain in my lower back.
I am out of town so I cannot see my Primary Care
Any suggestions?

The symptoms that you have described could be due to Diverticulitis. If have Antibiotics with you, you can start using them.
Please avoid high fiber diet.
If Antibiotic is not available, take a Pre and probiotic Capsule along with an antispasmodic tablet containing Dicyclomine. These should be available over the counter.
