Question : i was told about 61/2 years ago that i have a genetic condition that is stress triggered. the pores on my nose will start to bleed, not just a drop like a pimple but running blood.
i was given a prescription that was a clear gel that worked. i do not remember the name of the condition or the drug but the condition has reared its ugly head again
i am 63 and was downsize
Thank you,
Debra

Brief Answer:
Hematohidrosis
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX thank you for asking.
I have gone through your query and noted your concern.
Perhaps you have hematohidrosis - a condition in which person bleeds through sweat pores under conditions of extreme stress due to rupture of capillaries that feed sweat glands. It is extremely rare.
There is report of successful use of Atropine gel for treatment of hematohidrosis. There are oral drugs too which have been tried in this condition e.g. anxiolytics and antihypertensive like Propranolol which has been found useful.
Hope I have answered your query.
