Question : if a fetus is expelled via medical abortion at 13 weeks will it be alive when it is being expelled?

Hi,
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns.
The fetus will be dead before expulsion after medical abortion as it is to fragile to sustain itself without Progesterone support from placenta. Very rarely it may be alive for few seconds after expulsion.
