Brief Answer:
Spasms of eye muscles or eye twitching.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

The pulsating sensation behind eye may be related to eye twitching. It is involuntary contraction of the eye lid, spasms of eye muscles.
They are benign and no sign of any serious condition. They may last for several days and may be triggered by lack of sleep, fatigue, stress, caffeine, alcohol and tobacco.
You should get worried and immediately meet a doctor if you develope other symptoms such face dropping, eyelid dropping, facial muscles twitching etc.
You can avoid the things that trigger it like tobacco, alcohol and caffeine.
Have plenty of sleep.
Apply warm compresses.

Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thank you. I’m a Therapist and usually work many hours but I haven’t felt tired and usually get 8 hours of sleep. Also, I stopped all alcohol use and tobacco use over 25 years ago. I sting two cups of coffee a day and no other caffeine. I will try warm compresses.
