Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Welcome to Ask a Doctor service!
This heart rate is low, but if you are feeling well, no shortness of breath, no lightheadedness, there is nothing to worry about.
You should know that persons who are very active with sports, have a basal heart rate lower than other persons and this is considered a physiological reaction of the heart.
If you are taking any beta blockers ( metoprolol, atenolol, etc.) I would recommend reducing the dose.
If you are experiencing shortness of breath or lightheadedness, I would recommend going to the ER for a physical exam, a resting ECG and blood electrolytes.
Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Kind regards,
Dr.Ilir Sharka
