Question : is there a maintenance dose for accutane to ensure the acne does not come back after treatment? what is the best way to make sure acne stays clear after course?

I have gone through your query.

There is no specific maintenance dose of Accutane after the treatment is over.

It is usually tapered off very gradually over a period of few months to avoid relapse of acne like Accutane 20 mg twice weekly for few weeks followed by once weekly for a few weeks,

To avoid acne you need to avoid measures aggravating acne.

Use an acne face wash, a non-comegogenic moisturizer, avoid sugary foods and dairy products, avoid hot humid weather, avoid aggressive scrubbing of the skin, use a gel-based sunscreen and avoid oiling of scalp.

These are the measures which will keep your acne under check.
