Brief Answer:
re treatment may be needed

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

IT is possible that it is a hypersensitivity reaction to the dead scabies mite as you stated but it is also possible that it may be related to re infection or incomplete treatment

There are some persons that do not respond sufficiently to one treatment and require re treatment. If the rash does not resolve within 4 weeks, then it is likely that re treatment is needed

Your dermatologist or general doctor can prescribe medication for you.

Sheets, towels, clothes etc also require re treatment as well- this means washing in hot water (at least 60 C), machine dry then repeat a week later.
If the item needs dry cleaning, this can be done then sealed in a plastic bag for 1 week.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
