Question : I want to participate in Marathon s. I am 56 years. I am walking for 10000 steps each day... kindly guide what else should I start with ?
Brief Answer:
Needs preparation
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Marathons are usually 15+ kms long and requires proper physical training if you want to complete the run. This mainly requires stamina buildup along with good protein diet and adequate hydration.
Walking 10000 steps a day is good but nothing in comparison to running a marathon.
Here are some basic tips to train yourself
1. Train for 3-4 times a week.
2. Atleast 40 mins of jogg or brisk walk daily
3. Take proper walk breaks for your muscles to recover.
4. It would be great if you take help from a physical trainer.
Kind Regards

Brief Answer:
Hello again
Detailed Answer:
It means train your body for stamina buildup. Go for long runs 3 times in a week and gradually try to increase the distance covered. Remember, stamina building is not a couple of days process, it takes several weeks and even months with right guidance and diet.
