Question : hello doc i had an injury 3 days back around my nail. i dnt remmber if i jammed it smehwere or hit on smething. i realised it only after mild pain which started with swelling. the swelled part is 0warm and tight. and i noticed the swelling has slightly become more and spread and its as if filled with water. i am worried if this bursts. kindly suggest. there is a pain if i the finger touches anything.

Hi,
Swelling, pain and warmth around the nail post trauma could indicate Acute paronychia .I would recommend you to get a doctor 's opinion in direct for a detailed examination to rule out pus accumulation which might require incision and drainage along with oral antibiotics and analgesic.
